The tour operator sells its own holidays and runs them in its own booking system. So the website can’t just be a shop window. It has to show current prices, take bookings and payments, and get the offer in front of people wherever they look for a holiday.
One source of data
Holidays, hotels, dates, meal plans and prices all come straight from the booking system, refreshed every half hour. Nobody retypes them. Bookings made on the website go back the same way.

Payments and vouchers
A holiday can be paid for online. People buy a gift voucher on the website and get the PDF and the invoice straight away.
The offer wherever people search
Every day, the same data produces feeds for holiday comparison sites and for advertising. When a price changes in the booking system, it has changed everywhere by the next day, without anyone exporting anything.
Small steps instead of big projects
Since we started, the website has gained search by hotel, new filters, a schedule of departures and pick-ups, and a new holiday detail page. None of it was a big project. So the website grows with the business and never gets so old it has to be binned.
